Inside Collegio Alberoni is preserved a collection of vestments worn by Cardinal Alberoni during solemn and private celebrations. The vestments belonged to the Cardinal are characterised by coat of arms and fabrics, precious embroidery and laces, which are excellent examples of late baroque fabric production.
Among the most remarkable pieces: ‘Missal blanket’ made of laminated Gros de Tours red silk with Berain style embroideries; ‘Indian Silk blanket with multicoloured silk flowers’, which has the same decorations as those spread in Europe towards the end of the 17th century thanks to trade with India and ‘Cardinal Alberoni’s frontal panel’ with naturalistic decorations, originally meant for an altar in San Lazzaro Church.
