Museo Collezione Mazzolini is made of 899 works of modern art gathered mainly from the collection of Giovanni Battista Ettore Simonetti. In 2005 Domenica Rosa Mazzolini donated to Diocesi di Piacenza-Bobbio her collection which included Simonetti’s one.
The masterpieces acquired over 50 years of collecting activity are now exhibited in the monastery of San Colombano.

The Collection

The collection includes works from famous artists such as Enrico Baj, Renato Birolli, Carlo Carrà, Massimo Campigli, Giuseppe Capogrossi, Giorgio De Chirico, Filippo De Pisis, Ottone Rosai, Lucio Fontana, Achille Funi, Piero Manzoni, Mario Nigro, Tancredi Parmeggiani, Giò Pomodoro, Mario Sironi.

The ticket office is open until half an hour before closing time.

The museum is closed in November, December, January, February

Possibility of extraordinary openings for groups of at least 5 people with at least 48 hours’ notice.
