CYCLING IN ARDA VALLEY – PATH N°2

In mountain bike through Castell’Arquato – Bacedasco Alto – Bacedasco Basso – Orsi – Trinità – Ranca – Vernasca – Lugagnano – Castell’Arquato.THE TRACK: After crossing the Arda stream nearby Castell’Arquato, bike towards Bacedasco, famous for its precious thermal waters and for the green golf courses . Going through a countrysdide rich in vineyards you’ll reach Vigoleno, suggestive medieval village.Just before Vigoleno you’ll meet Parco Regionale Fluviale dello Stirone: 15 Km long, it’s characterized by coppice, poplar, oak, willow and hawthorn areas, and is inhabited by about 40 species of birds. The Stiorne’s canyon is geologically very interesting, for clay stratifications rich in marine fossiles.
