CYCLING IN ARDA VALLEY – PATH N°8

By bicycle through Vigolo Marchese – Sabbionara – Castell’Arquato – Lugagnano – Lago di Mignano – Castelletto – Morfasso – Parco Monte Moria – S.Michele – S.Genesio – Chiavenna Rocchetta – Vigolo Marchese.THE TRACK: This easy track may be done also by bike, and enables to see some of the most characteristic villages in Val d’Arda . From Vigolo Marchese to Castell’Arquato you’ll feel surrounded by a medieval atmosphere, passing by Lugagnano you’ll see clay calanques. After Lugagnano you’ll go by Vernasca. The village, rising on the crest between Arda and Ongina strams,preserves some suggestive remains of S.Colombano’s parish church. The track finally reaches the shores of Mignano’s Lake and then borders the thick vegetation of Monter Moria’s Park. It finally slopes down close to Veleia Romana.
