The exhibition, set up in the exhibition space of the Fondazione di Piacenza e Vigevano thanks to the association “Verso Itaca APS,” which is a project born in Milan at the San Vittore prison.
An itinerary that tells the story of prison as a space of encounter, through images and words. Photographs taken by Margherita Lazzati and fragments of sixty interviews with prison workers, inmates, volunteers, teachers, doctors, spiritual assistants come together to narrate a place in the city full of sorrows, emotions, weaknesses, fatigue, passions and fragility.
Throughout the duration of the exhibition, meetings will be organized for middle and high school students on the theme of prison and the social and personal implications of imprisonment.
