The Ricci Oddi Modern Art Gallery and the Banca di Piacenza are organizing the exhibition
Piccio. The eccentric genius – Homage one hundred and fifty years after his death

The exhibition, curated by Niccolò D’Agati, is dedicated to Giovanni Carnovali known as il Piccio, one of the most significant artistic personalities of the Italian 19th century.
Among the collections of the Banca di Piacenza there is the painting Rinvenimento di Aminta tra le braccia di Silvia (Finding of Aminta in the arms of Silvia), an early masterpiece by the painter, brought together for the occasion with a nucleus of works from public and private collections, including two paintings from the Ricci Oddi Modern Art Gallery. One of which – Landscape in Brembate Sotto – was restored for the occasion thanks to the support of the Banca di Piacenza.
