The doors of the Oratory of the Madonna delle Grazie in Vigoleno are reopened for a new temporary exhibition that retraces one of the most enigmatic and mysterious works that Max Ernst created between the 1920s and 1930s, when Vigoleno was a cultural court that attracted intellectuals and show business personalities from all over Europe.

About a century after the birth of Surrealism, the German artist returns to the village that had hosted him with an exhibition of 18 prints, taken from an edition of the novel for images ‘Une semaine de bonté’, accompanied by a video on some insights into Max Ernst‘s collage technique and symbolism.

The exhibition will be inaugurated on Sunday 27 October at 5.00 p.m. and can be visited at weekends, during the opening hours of the Mastio di Vigoleno (Saturday and Sunday, 10.30-12.30 a.m. and 2.30-5.30 p.m.).
