The Podestà Palace in Castella’Arquato opens its doors for the winter season with an exhibition dedicated to the local area
Custodi di memoria. Le chiese dell’Appennino piacentino fra oblio e identità
Guardians of memory. The churches of the Piacenza Apennines between oblivion and identity
When: from 7 February to 7 April 2026
Where: Piazza del Municipio, Castell’Arquato
The exhibition offers a unique opportunity to explore the sacred heritage of the Piacenza valleys, through which history, art, faith and community are intertwined.
Created with the support of the Diocese of Piacenza-Bobbio and the Fondazione di Piacenza e Vigevano, the exhibition is the result of a collaboration between various local institutions, including the Cineclub Piacenza G. Cattivelli and the Italian Alpine Club (CAI) of Piacenza. This visual journey has been curated by Manuel Ferrari and Susanna Pighi, both from the Diocese’s Office for Ecclesiastical Cultural Heritage, who have skilfully combined historical and artistic expertise with cultural sensitivity.
