Where: Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Assunta, Piazza Don Cagnoni, Castell’Arquato
Music by Claudio Monteverdi, Tarquinio Merula and Biagio Marini, as well as a selection of pieces from the music archive of the Collegiate Chapter, which also houses eleven ‘cantiunculae tribus vocibus’, composed by Monteverdi when he was just fifteen years old.
Performing will be the Ensemble Labirinto Vanvitelli, with Gian Andrea Guerra as concertmaster; the Vocal Ensemble of the ‘Claudio Monteverdi’ Conservatoire in Cremona; and soprano Silvia Frigato as soloist. Artistic director: Maestro Gianluca Feccia.
