Fortified complex, example of both medieval austerity and renaissance elegance.The fortress dates back to the 12th century, has a rectangular plan and low, square and round towers. Its separated by means of a wide ditch, now used as a garden, from the residential palace, adapted at the end of the 18th century to the remains of the ancient borough. Inside the palace, beautiful pictorial decorations and precious frescoes are preserved. The inner ward is surrounded on three sides by an airy 15th century sandstone loggia.
