The Apparizione Chapel was built in 1954 near Frati, in the neighbourhood of the former prison, where it is said that the Holy Virgin Mary of the Oak appeared in 1496.
In the chapel there is a beautiful mosaic by Luciano Ricchetti, depicting the story of the young shepherdess to whom the Virgin appeared.
The chapel is visible only on the outside, and is open during religious ceremonies.
