Madonna dell’aiuto 17th century sanctuary rises just outside Porta nuova; apparently, it was built to guard a miraculous image of the Virgin. The building has a single nave with chapels on the two sides. The frescoes decorating it date back to 1912, while in the transept side chapels there are two works by Salvatore Pozzo, carried out in the 17th century
