The original Church of St. Peter the Apostle, located in Campremoldo Sopra, a small hamlet of Gragnano Trebbiense, must have occupied roughly the same area as the presbytery of the church that stands there today.
The Baroque building that corresponds to the current parish church was built between 1679 and 1681.
The façade of the Church of St. Peter the Apostle, on the other hand, is Neoclassical.
There are two side chapels dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St Anthony of Padua respectively. Both were decorated with stucco work at the end of the 17th century.
The architectural restoration and structural consolidation of the church dates back to 2004. The façade was restored between 2009 and 2010.
