The church is in a very central position. It was built by the Discalced Carmelites starting from 1650; it is in baroque style and is a rare example, among the churches open to cult in Piacenza, of 18th century painting. Inside there are a presbyterium and frescoed chapels with rich squares, carried out by Natali from Cremona, and figures attributed to Robert de Longe, G. Angelo Borroni, Sebastiano Galeotti and Bartolomeo Rusca (first half of the 18th century).
