Giuseppe Verdi hospital is located outside the village, on the way to Busseto; it was inaugurated in 1888, and is today an important and modern physical rehabilitation centre.The musician, always careful about the humble workers living in his native land, wanted this institution to easen them of the discomfort of going to the nearest medical centre. Verdi himself designed the building, followed its construction and paid for the expenses, supplying it with an over 2800 perch estate. Emergencies: 118.
