The foundation date of Zena Castle is unknown. The fortress still preserves the castle architectural characteristics of the structure, which has a square design: one of the four buildings was demolished in the 18th century. The western side with the main entrance still bears signs of a drawbridge.The ditch surrounding the complex has been recently excavated and revealed the presence of a fourth building and a tower. Inside there are an imposing fireplace surmounted by a coat of arms and interesting frescoes rediscovered not long ago.
The Castle CANNOT BE VISITED FOR THE TIME BEING, but open on special occasions and for ceremonies.
It is accessible upon reservation for research purposes.
