Going from Fiorenzuola towards, first stop is in Chiaravalle della Colomba, one of the favourite goals of pilgrims travelling along Via Francigena:here rises a wonderful cistercian Abbey, founded by S.Bernardo in 1135.The track, after passing by Castell’arquato’s famous beauties, leads across vineyards to Vigolo Marchese’s little village, preserving romaesque time buildings, such as S.Giovanni’s church and the baptistry, with its unusual three-foiled plan. Among other goals, Frascaleone, with the remains of the monastery bearing the same name .
