The park extends over 10 Sq.Km of mountain territory, stretching along the Arda- Chero ridge, between mounts Moria and Croce dei Segni. It was established in the 20ies in order to preserve and make the most of the huge wood heritage of the area. As far as geology is concerned, this area is known around Piacenza for its hydrocarbon rich subsoil. Hydrocarbons were much exploited up to the half of last century. The park is a few minutes drive from Lugagnano.The area is a green oasis with a well preserved natural environment,rich in characteristic, spontaneous flora, ideal for walks and excursions.
