What to do in Easter period in piacenza

A trip out of town, a long weekend or half a day accompanied by a guide to discover the beauty of Piacenza: here are the events not to be missed at Easter and Easter Monday.

The city’s museums are open and you can visit: the Civic Museums of Palazzo Farnese, joining guided tours or with the support of an audio guide. Visit the Ricci Oddi Modern Art Gallery, with its recently restored rooms and constantly updated exhibitions.

Another unmissable experience is the climb to the dome, available with a special ticket

  • in the Cathedral, where you can admire Guercino’s work and the city from above
  • in Santa Maria di Campagna, decorated by the Mannerist Pordenone.

As every year, the IAT-R office is organising a tour of the city, scheduled to depart at 3.30 p.m. on 6 April.

For Easter 2026, you can also take a trip to the African continent by visiting the free exhibition “Sguardi sull’Africa” (Views of Africa) at Palazzo Gotico.

In addition to the traditional market in Borgonovo Val Tidone, the province also hosts

Special events for families are planned at the castles of Gropparello and Rivalta, while the other manors in the Castelli del Ducato circuit offer traditional guided tours.

On 4 April, the exhibition ‘Terre del Trebbia’ will open in the village of Bobbio, at the castle, and on Easter Monday, in Largo Rio Grande, Ra Familia Bubieiza will offer tastings of local products.
