The Santissima Trinit\u00e0 Church is considered the city’s “mother church” as it was the first to be built after the Second World War. Its birth brings us back to 21 August 1942, the first cornerstone was laid in 1950 to continue with single units: the first was the crypt, completed in 1951, then the vicarage in 1957 and the nave in 1958. In 1959-60 the transepts and a second crypt were built, the latter in 1966 was transformed in a movie theatre, now called President. On the inside it is worth noting, on the apse wall, a mosaic designed by Father Dante Maranta from Milan inspired by the Russian icon by Andrej Rublev and the majestic stained-glass window occupying the whole fa\u00e7ade created by the Franciscan friar Costantino Ruggeri from Pavia, representing the Trinity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"It is considered the city\u2019s \u201cmother church\u201d as it was the first to be built after the Second World War.
