The area is typically morenic: it is advisable to follow signalled paths once you leave the non-asphalted road. After the last turn you reach the largest hollow of the whole Piacenza Apennine where there is a small oval lake called “Lago Moo”.
\nThis lake, now almost disappeared because of the marsh flora, was created thanks to the geological mechanisms derived from ice sliding down from Mount Ragola.
\nBeyond Lago Moo there is Lago Bino, of morenic origins, formed consequently to landslides that still haunt the hollow.
\nIt is worth mentioning the numerous buttercups and tritons which give an ancestral touch to the environment.
\nContinuing on this path, you reach Prato Morro and Prato Grande, large groves which in ancient times hosted lake basins disappeared because of landfill and turf. You might meet grazing cattle and see high altitude birds (hawks and buzzards); the area is rich of mushrooms.
