Where it is<\/h2>\n

A gate to the Apennines, this area is rich in history and both the landscape and its geological aspects are very remarkable.<\/p>\n

Why visit it<\/h2>\n

The valleys are surrounded by more than 1300 mt high mountains: from the East to the West mount Carameto, mount Lama (with its top characterised by huge prairies), mount Menegosa (imposing rocky structure), and mount Santa Franca. In the direction of the flat land, the two valleys are separated by mount Mor\u00eca, a 1000 metre plateau characterised by large meadows and woods.<\/p>\n

In the village, S. Maria Assunta church, built in the 17th century, is worth a visit.<\/p>\n

Nearby, there are, Monte Moria Park, Sperongia and Monastero, a name indicating several rural settlements, with characteristic examples of the Apennine\u2019s typical stone architecture. The toponym \u2018Val di Tolla\u2019 is connected to the legend of a vanished valley.<\/p>\n

In Morfasso you can go horse riding, orienteering, mountain biking and climbing.<\/p>\n

The Area is part of \u2018La Grande Ippovia – Appennino Emilia Romagna\u2019 Horseway.<\/p>\n
