The Montecucco Park covers 16 hectares throughout the districts of the south-eastern suburb of the city among via De Longe, strada Agazzana, strada Malchioda and canale Diversivo Ovest.The general project of the park and the various operational areas have been planned by the Ufficio Verde Pubblico of Piacenza Municipality, with the help of Mr. Kipar, an architect who also took into consideration the wishes of the former Assessore all’Ambiente and the needs expressed by the students of Scuola Don Milani in their project.The Montecucco park project started on 24th March 1997.To complete it, more interventions on site were made which resulted, in three years, in a structure that can be ideally and practically called “Park”.
