In 2024, the spring fair in Monticelli d’Ongina, now in its 51st edition, takes place over the weekend of May 17-19.
The event leads on a journey through the lands of the Po, discovering the origins of all the realities that live on the Great River.
The three-day program will alternate between activities in the town center and moments along the banks of the Po from San Nazzaro to Monticelli d’Ongina.

During the days of the fair, it will be possible to enjoy new experiences along the banks of the Po and in the center of town, where activities dedicated to the river will be held for both adults and children, to whom the show “Abracadacqua” and the documentary “La Memoria dell’Acqua” will be dedicated.
There will be activities related to games and sports for the promotion of activities on the river, all combined with a careful gastronomic proposal related to the area thanks to the presence of the food stand by AVIS and local Monticellese people.
There will also be historical-popular displays in Casali Square and river-themed exhibitions at the Pallavicino Casali Fortress.
Music will find its place on Friday evening with a performance in Casali Square by the “Musicanti d’la Bása,” who will bring to the stage traditional music associated with popular tavern songs and postwar ditties, and on Sunday afternoon with contributions from the Corpo Bandistico Monticellese.
