Teatro Serra at parco Raggio is located in the municipality of Pontenure, along the Via Emilia. The entrance to the park is exactly set in front of the main square, Piazza Re Amato.
The theater is located inside of the park, built between the end of the XIX century and the beginning of the XX century.
The green area next to the house, titled “Lucky Villa”, was built by the will of Armando Raggio, between 1882 and 1885.
In its little theater is hosted an unique offspring space between a theater and a botanical garden.

Inside of the Theater is set a stage made out from the wall, its proscenium arch is preserving some traces of floral decorations.
The curvy line style which is dividing the two different covered areas is pretty relevant: the floor seats room is made by iron and the stage made of tiles.
As the tradition tells, Eleonora Duse staged in this theater a play ” The Lady of the Camellias”.
The festival 50+1 is taking place in Serra Thater, it’s a contemporary theater festival which needs an actor and fifty viewers, as mush as the little theater can contain.
Every year in August, the park hosts an important and international festival for short movies: Concorto.
This event is involving Teatro Serra too.
