The second appointment offers the first solo exhibition of Andrea Sala(1976), a sculptor from Como who grew up professionally between Italy and Canada, whose works reflect his interest in the culture of design and research on the processes that arise from the fascination of often fragile materials such as terracotta and ceramics.
The pieces made by Sala will dialogue on this occasion with works on deposit at the Cathedral Museum in Piacenza: boxes, liturgical garments, containers, cups, candelabra. The artist will mount them in a new frame, reversing their perspective and accompanying them with a selection of his new ceramic sculptures and drawings made for the occasion.
