The city of Piacenza is hosting the start of the third stage of the Tour de France 2024 on Monday, July 1.
The area, bordered by the Po River, is historically linked to the use of bicycles and has also seen the Giro d’Italia pass through in recent years.
After passing through the city center, the cyclists will ride along the Via Emilia toward Castel San Giovanni on a flat route, parading through Rottofreno and Sarmato, and after 20 kilometers they will leave the region to head toward Turin, the final finish line of the Tour’s third stage.
